What is SAT?
What is SAT Test? It is very important to know if you are thinking of applying to college. SAT is a standardized global test conducted and managed by academic the academic body of ‘The College Board’. It is taken by students seeking admission to competitive schools and colleges based on merit. “The full form of SAT is Scholastic Assessment Test, which was earlier known as Scholastic Aptitude Test.” SAT exam caters evaluation on written, oral and mathematical skills of students.

SAT Scores in Perspective
Your score report is feedback oriented. It is hard to understand since it requires be validating within the pool and cutting off score. Mean SAT scores, SAT percentiles, and benchmarks below can help you put your score to understanding. Not only this, “sub-scores” and “cross-test” can help you understand your strengths and weaknesses. The score-card will anyways won’t tell you if you passed or failed it. There is no term as a passing score.
What is a good SAT score?
Highest SAT score/Average SAT score range: Tests won’t be able to tell you what you know and many other factors are taken into consideration for the same. It simply denotes the level of readiness and preparation.
Each score range works uniquely. The range extends from a few points above and below the defined range.
SAT Scores on average
The score reports will show mean or average scored as earned by the test taker. A low mean score denotes the need for developing reading, writing and language skills which need to be improved.
Benchmarks for college readiness
Benchmark scores represent college readiness. So, if you score above the benchmark, you are ready for college, but if you score a lower then there is still time and effort required to be working on the student’s front. Detailed feedback gives a clear idea.
SAT Percentile Ranking
A percentile rank is a number between 1 and 99 showing the scored compared to other students. It is representing the percentage of test takers scoring below or above it.
